With his team a goal down after nine minutes into the semi-final clash against Les Bleus, 16-year-old Yamal fired in a stunning goal to pull La Roja level to help turn the game around, with a Jules Kounde own goal three minutes later enough to seal the victory.

Yamal, who has been one of the stars of the tournament, became the youngest scorer in European Championship history with his goal, breaking a record that was set 20 years prior. The Barcelona winger was happy to play such a pivotal role for his team.

WHAT NEXT FOR SPAIN?
Yamal will celebrate his birthday on Saturday, the day before the final, but it will surely not be a wild affair with his team set to face either England or Netherlands, who go head-to-head on Wednesday, in the final.
